It just shows how bad this ride is I mean the structure & what I don't know it just seems death like to me even though I would go on it, but by the sounds of this ride it doesn't seem to safe, like such as they have to open it abit later than other rides due to winds conditions which can be worrying. Another thing the lift can make the train rollback down I heard as well as getting stuck on the lift - With nothing below you feet!! =O How is there never any passengers on when it does rollback!?

@koolkillax You mean how bad the ride was.... The horse shoe turn that it stalled on in the video has been significantly lowered as well as one of the loops.... Island Quest own this ride and they are not going to advertise that they have i shitty ride..... They are pointing out what can go wrong with rides during testing.... You will hardly ever see a roll back like this with people on because of tests like you see in the video. In my opinion this is the best value for money ride in the world.

@koolkillax Odyssey can't roll back down the lift hill as it has "dog teeth" which mean that the train can only go in one direction. Odyssey is perfectly safe, as long as it's operated under the right conditions, which is why it is often closed in high winds.

@IslandQuest I believe I read something to do with that although I can't remember cause it was so long ago I read about it. Yeah I've heard of them, it must be safe now with the modifications & what but back then it had a few teething problems, but the down side to this coaster is that it's frequently closed it's tall structure is the thing that makes this ride stand out of the rest cos of it's height.

@koolkillax Tell me about it, I've visited Fantasy Island in June for the past two years, and out of those 3 visits Odyssey wasn't open once. It is one of the best coasters in the country, but it's in a poor location which is detrimental to its success. Having said that, Fantasy Island are keener than ever to keep rides open as much as possible this year, and aren't closing them for the sake of it as they have done before. Rotational ride operation means that it'll open more as well.

@IslandQuest Yeah it's almost right next to the sea! So it was mostly closed than open, I heard many modifications were made to this ride such as the cobra roll & banked turn getting lowered to reduce stalling. Yeah it looks it good I'm wanting to experience the ride myself although certain things about the ride can put you off.

@koolkillax Odyssey won't open to guests unless the wind (measured at the top of the lift hill) is below 25 to 30mph depending on direction. Fantasy Island often try to fill the train as much as possible as more weight gives the train more momentum, making it even less likely to stall with riders. That's why it should be tested with water dummies. One of the factors for it stalling in 2009 was it being sent without the plastic wind covers over the wheels.

@leeofbacup I didn't say anything to do with them advertising a shitty ride this ride however is a good coaster it's just it's structure & what which make it look deadly & I'm just saying it looks dodgy & rollbacks on rides HAVE happened with passengers on board & yeah I have heard that they lowered it to reduce the rollbacks/stalling & there are certain coaster were at least what a certain amount of people have to be on in order for the coaster not to stall. Best value for money you say...
