In this video, i did my best to show youtube a collection of photographs depicting many of the greatest dancers to have ever lived. please notice that im a fan of dancers in the era of Rudolph Nureyev. therefore i appologise to those who are fans of todays dancers such as Darcy.

Thanks for showing us that it was once okay to be a ballet dancer and (1) not be anorexic-looking, and (2) usually only raise your leg waist-high. Even though Western companies are encouraging dancers to be more "normal" in terms of weight, we have a lot of skeletal contortionists. If you'll excuse the pun, it's starting to wear a little thin. Thanks again for showing us how it used to be, a long time ago.

oh...what a sensitive comment. thank you for sharing your thoughts..they convey my feelings exactly. the super technique obsessed dancers of today often lose the true, emotional and passionate element of dance. it becomes overshadowed, and it is something we lose with time. this, is one of the reasons why we find so many old dancers unique, and timeless...

@Music0preacher i totally agree what you said and i am happy there are peoples thinking the same like me!!!i most of the time the russian ballerinas today shows us the emotions we need in classic ballet but thats all;i took class xith nureyev and barrishnikov ,what a memory!!!!
