So, the first few notes of this performance have been truncated. Dottie sings a medley of three of her hits before a VIP audience (including then U. S. President Jimmy Carter) at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D. C.

Really sad and pathetic comment. I find it appalling that such hate-filled bigotry and stupidity still emerges. And, by the way, I too am one of those "gay fans." I wish we could all, gay and straight, simply enjoy and appreciate great music like this.
