With the 15-minute limit that YouTube introduced a few months ago, I can upload this, which has the matches from today. And there are five of them I can pack into one file. Here, I use Baby Luigi in the Mini Beast for all five races.
Race 1 @ Luigi Circuit
Somewhere into the race (at the beginning of the second lap), I suddenly had a place match with this "leen" person, who used Dry Bowser in the Jetsetter. I had a Triple Green Shell attached, but I lost one when I saw leen drop one right in front of me, rendering one of the Green Shells useless. In the middle of the track, I had one Green Shell to shoot, and one to equip. However, I waited untl she dropped a Banana Peel to fire a Green Shell, but it was like she had an infinte number of Banana Peels, because she kept on equipping a fresh pile every single time she ran out of Bananas to toss back. I had one chance, and I blew it. I aimed too far to the right, and I could've been sure I hit her. But I didn't.
Race 2 @ N64 Bowser Castle
It seems the Mini Beast under Manual drift doesn't do well in thin corridors, because I kept smashing into the wall as I started to drift, but one time Ihad a Mushroom to save me, but that was short-lived when a Lightning Bolt struck. I also saw four people get knocked, one including myself, and that was from a collision with that Bullet Bill. Can you believe that two of the people that fell into the lava had a Starman?
Race 3 @ GCN Peach Beach
I fell behind at one point, and hitting in Item Box got me a Golden Mushroom, which I used as a shortcut to cross the beachwater, and that put me far in the lead, until the third lap, where a Blue Shell screws me over, and is followd up by a Red Shell. Why couldn't the Red Shell hit me right after I landed, where I would still have the invincibility frame up? I'm not sure if we have invincibility frames in Mario Kart Wii, but after you land from an attack and get with with say a Green Shell, you're completely unaffected. When it seems there's no hope of catching up with the rest, I get a Starman, which boosts me into second place and knocking over a driver along the way. But the Mushroom didn't help much, since The Perry already crossed the finish line as I got the Mushroom.
Race 4 @ Toad's Factory (Mirror)
Yes, this is a Mirror match, and that means the entire track (including the sign that Lakitu hold and the ?s on the Item Boxes) is reversed. Ihave gotten expirience with Mirror matches through wi-fi races, and not Grand Prix, which I only play to unlock characters and vehicles. I found something odd about this match. At about 9:01 I had been in first place, however, the Blue Shell did no strike me, it struck Diddy Kong and whoever were around him. I guess the Blue Shell targets the one in first place at the time it was thrown, it doesn't switch whoever to target based on their place.
Race 5 @ N64 Bowser Castle
Weren't we here for the second race? The randomizer doesn't seem to be doing its job right. But on the other hand, quite a few did pick this stage, why? I also think that towards the end of the second lap, this ANIMAL™ person had equipped a Triple Red Shell, fired two, and waited for me to pass before he threw his third. Sneaky indeed.
And like I said before, the Mini Beast on Manual in my hands doesn't fare very well with thin corridors, nor spaces where it's hard to control because of your speed, like when you're using a Golden Mushroom, which was the cause for two of my mistakes. The first happened in the first lap, but I managed to get out of the mess. The second time, however, was in the second lap, and it messed me up bad. I ran towards a bush with a Golden Mushroom, and I was stuck there for a bit, and by some randomly weird miracle, I managed to finish in first place, even with that huge setback.
