Summer Youth Leadership Camp 2010, August 2-7, South Kazakhstan Oblast. 48 youth including HIV+ youth, orphans and peers from their social environments.

TRANSLATION OF INTERVIEWS:
"I attended LShL for the first time. In my 4 days here, I have changed my views on a lot of things and on life."

"The first day, I didn't know anyone. I understood that I needed to open myself, prove and show myself. Over two days, I had the impression that we'd all known each other for 5 years. I felt like a completely different person."

"I had never performed before, and when I did it for the first time I kept wanting to do it, everyone supported me, I liked it a lot!

I learned more about HIV, how it's transmitted. Before I didn't know, I thought that swimming in a pool or talking with an HIV+ person would transmit the disease, I was scared. Then it was explained and I thought about it, understood that actually these are normal people...before people said HIV positive people were such that i was afraid, I'd heard all these unpleasant things, and thought it was the kind of disease where you shouldn't interact with HIV+ people at all. But now I know otherwise.

I want to continue going to the Center. I obtained information and I want to share it with others who were like me before and didn't know, didn't think about all these things. I want to conduct trainings, educate myself, learn even more, develop."
