This is the original ABC bumper for the second season debut of The Bionic Woman.
I have made a digital restoration using the authentic audio portion of the promo spot but I used my Bionic Woman DVDs for the picture quality. Hope you like it!

  • Great job, as usual! Its funny, Ernie Anderson the voiceover guy for ABC says, The Bionic Woman is a winner, then why did ABC cancel it? Only to get picked up briefly be NBC.

  • @smokinj721 Thank you. You are very kind.

  • The ref holdin her arm looks a little like Danny Bonaduce

  • You are totally right! Good observation on that!

  • I LOVE this!! So fun!!

  • From one Jaime fan to another, thanks Taylorsammie! I'm pretty sure you were not around in the seventies to see the real promo, LIVE. ;-)

  • This may get me tried and convicted for heresy, but I always preferred the general storylines of "The Bionic Woman" to the "Six Million Dollar Man".

  • You did a fantastic job working to make this classic promotional clip look and sound as good if not better than it did in the 70's. We didn't have cable so I might have seen this promo only about two times. Great seeing it again, Thank You!

  • Lindsey moored her boat right across from ours in Portland, Oregon...used to see her in the summer all the time with her then husband Henry Kingi circa early 80's. She was quite stunning in her bikini I might add. They were both really nice...

  • @ez2me2009: Lastest for three years - that's good for any show

  • @smokinj721 The Bionic Woman was still doing well in the ratings after two seasons, usually in the top twenty. The reasons I heard concerning its initial cancellation from ABC was that the network was trying to cut its overhead ie. get rid of any series that were continually expensive to produce. Hence, it was canceled but NBC, desperate for any hit series at the time, immediately bought it up. It ran for one more season after that but by then the whole bionic phenomenon had peaked.

  • @bionicboy1969 Yes, well... thanks to the DVDs, it does look better than when it aired in the 70's. I made this one using the European set.

  • Perfect!

  • You do an excellent job on these. Beautiful work!
