Daniel Matlock, M.D., M.P.H., Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, presented the 2014 Charles C. Smith Jr. Lecture, "Improving Decision Quality for Implantable Defibrillators (and Beyond)" at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on April 17, 2014.

The talk focused on defining the concept of decision quality, exploring communication strategies to improve decision quality broadly, and understanding real world challenges and barriers to decision quality using implantable cardioverter-defibrillators as a case study.

Presented by the U of L Division of General Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine and Medical Education.
