@henrikhankhagnell Benedict XVI's motu proprio Summorum Pontificum says that the Mass celebrated using the Roman Missal of 1962 is to be referred to as the "extraordinary form" ("forma extraordinaria") while the Mass promulgated by Pope Paul VI is to be known as the "ordinary form."

The FSSP is with Rome the FSSPX (also known as the SSPX) was excommunicated in1988. We are praying for recommunication, that might take place Next Year.

Why not? Isnt the FSSP in communion with Rome? the SSPX isnt in much communion with Rome from what I heard.
