This short video tells the remarkable story of Leech Lake Tribal College, and the difference it is making in hundreds of lives every year. LLTC is an accredited, 2-year college with a student body of 90% Native American students. Many of them are the first in their family to ever attend college, and most have incredible obstacles to overcome, yet they persevere and succeed.

Like most Tribal Colleges, Leech Lake Tribal College receives no state or local funding. Federal funding was authorized in 1978 at just $6,000 per student, but actual funding has never approached that original level from more than 30 years ago, let alone been adjusted to account for inflation. As a result, finding adequate funding for operations and student scholarships is a difficult task every year.

We hope that after seeing the wonderful story presented in this short video, that you will join us in our vision and help us continue the remarkable success story of LLTC. Please support student success at Leech Lake Tribal College by giving to our scholarship fund or general fund.

  • GOOD JOB, EVERYONE... especially Leslie!! Waabiigwunikwezence is going to LOVE seeing you in this segment.. Proud of you and all your work!

  • Informative, simple, and effective presentation! These "gems" are the high quality, holistic, and relationship-based institutions that focuses on learning and experiencing LIFE rather than memorizing and recalling information.

I see the roots of the Great Spirit unifying and conjoining kindred spirits and fertile minds to return to the ancient wisdom of the earth while enduring the suffering of a mechanistic and carnal society. LLTC is the example of this vision.
