All these years later and I still miss Bob Ufer. How we miss those who brought us happy memories!

One thing I didn't realize until I saw this was after Corso wimped out and kicked the PAT to tie it, that Bo went for it on 4th and 1 from their OWN 31 with 0:29 left, gutsy as hell move by Bo.

The most under appreciated part of this drive? Tied game, 4th and 1 on your own 29 yard line with less than 1 minute remaining and Bo goes for it in the face of a certain loss if they didn't make it. This guts and confidence permeated the Michigan program for 21 years. Thanks Bo.

Why does the damn camera man keep following that stupid airplane. You completely miss the fumble out of bounds with 6 seconds left

Anthony Carter was the difference on the 79 Wolverines because he added a great Deep Threat to a team that already had a great Defense and Running Game

I LOVE IT!!!! What great memories.........

"THANK YOU, FIELDING YOST! THANK YOU, FIELDING YOST!" Wow, I had only heard about this game and calling by Bob Ufer. I gotta say, I don't think I've ever heard a more heartfelt coverage of a game.

"they aren't even gonna try the extra point..who gives a damn"
haha classic

Indiana must of has a pretty good team in 1979 for Michigan to need a game winning drive to beat them

I sat in an end zone seat on the side of the field where Carter scored. It was the most amazing touchdown I personally witnessed, partly because the clock had already run out before Carter scored. A cocky Indiana fan sitting in front of me suddenly buried his face in his hands. I stayed in the stadium for almost an hour after the game ended because I wanted to savor the moment!

I still smile every time I watch and hear AC's TD in this game. He had the most spindly legs I'd seen on a WR, but no one seemed to be able to hit him directly.
That was Bob Ufer at his greatest. Pure gold, and that play was and still is one of the best ever in the history of Mee-chigan football.
BTW, if you can find footage of that fake field goal Tom Harmon pulled that Ufer was talking about, I will erect statues of you in your honor. I'd imaging it's almost impossible to find, but I bet somebody has it. Please?

Sorry. The only footage I have from Tom Harmon is from his Heisman season in 1940. The play Ufer is talking about is from 1939.
