Giant 8ft tall Lego man found at Siesta Key Beach

I have done some research before anyone else and Ego Leonard, the creator, has a website http://bit.ly/sUN36X
He makes these at festivals and then I'm guessing he tosses them in the ocean!
It then sailed a long way down to Florida.
This particular one was created in May 2011.
He weighs 100lb and is 8ft tall
His shirt says "No real than you are" just like all his clones that ended up at other parts in the world.
At 11:00AM Deputies came and took him away to a undisclosed location. They say the owners have 90 days to claim and bail him out. And no visitors are allowed.

Why would the cops take it? Scumbags, taking all the fun for themselves... They cant put it up somewheres around the beach as a memorial of some sort?

I think Ego Leonard's(The Dutch Artist who washed away all of these Lego Minifigures) message or point he was trying to take was to see if people would actually take unknown phenomena, and see it as something "Godly" or Otherworldly...I think his point was taken well :P
