O Scale Layout Update 11/22/09

My layout that im working on. The new train is called the jucie train. back in 1970 two of these trains where sent down to Flordia pulling 60 white refergirated cars hauling back near 1 million gallons per train. Now it is a daily thing using CSX rails. The Penn Central engine is an E44 eletric. Penn Central was and mess in railroading. It was unorganized and many other problems but this one is fine on my layout.

Great vid. The logo on the E44 is wrong. In CTT they did a review and said this. The e is connected to the p. BTW great vid

For the Proto1 - I use a BCR replacement with an older style

Lionel transformer and they do just fine. That was a problem for

MTH and QSI on the original specs. I like the NH set, but you would

have to make changes to use it. Good luck with your layout.

Great layout there, Austin. The pans are Faivley-style; I think they

are made in France and were used on the early electrics made

starting in the 70's. They are the top-of-the line today on most

modern electrics.The Penn Central Metroliners used them and other early electrics on the NE Corridor, also on the Silverliners.

I have the E44 set - but I didn't trade the caboose - they're always

rare.
