Its unheard of today how passengers are treated as compared to Piedmont. They truly were the inventors of "the customer is always right" Now, within reason of course but Piedmont definitely went out of their way to make a bad situation right. Today, there is probably a fee for that!!!

My husband has flown each aircraft shown in this video at
some point in his 29 year career with Piedmont/US Airways.
That adds up to 27,000 hours of flight time! They fly an average
of 90 to 95 hours flight time per month...but to get that amount of
flight time you have to spend an average of 100 hours a week away
from home! That is a 400 hour a month job! Makes a 40 hour week
sound pretty good huh! Have you thanked a pilot today!

This is where my 25th Airline career started. Loved Piedmont! I cherish those days! XO

The other stewardess started taking pictures of a plane going to take off. Each one was zoomed in a little more until you could see the faces in the other plane looking back at them..The plane was the ill fated Air Florida Flight 90 heading for the Potomac River..

My sister started flying with Piedmont in 1978 ish..she is still with US Air..
Piedmont didn't have any fatalities , She told me they wre ready to take off from National airport one winter day..The pilot came on and said they were going back to get de-iced..The other flight attendant had this new camera..one that you could automatically zoom out or in.. It happened to be January 13, 1982,.. to be continued..

BY FAR!, Piedmont had the most friendly phone reps and crews. They went the extra mile to make the customer happy! We miss you Piedmont!

@biorgymd There was the famous 727 crash near Asheville NC after a mid-air collision with a Cessa 310. I remember one DC-3 crash and one F-27 as well.
-
Piedmont was a class airline. You should be proud of your father and the excellent product he helped deliver to thousands of travelers! And I'm sure he's proud of you for recognizing what air travel should be all about.

How come there are no 737-400s in the videos?
-
@XxXDELTAxFOXTROTXxX I believe that there was another plane crash other than the 727 at Asheville. There was a Dc3 crash I Believe.
-
How come there isn't a 737-400 in there? If there is please correct me
If Im not mistaken, I dont think they ever had a fatality in their 49 year history. I love you Piedmont, I wish you were around today to take my fears away. Thank you for the video!!
Sincerely,
Nervous flyer

Well, the only one I remember was Piedmont Airlines Flight 22 (727) that collided with a twin engined Cessna. And all people on board the 2 planes were killed.
But I don't think it was Piedmont's nor the Cessna's fault. Probably ATC was the culprit.
But yes, Piedmont was a very trustworthy airline to step aboard on.
