  • Yeah, that's actually what we're doing now. We have about 50 tomatoes on either side of a trellis. The spine of the trellis is 1 1/2" PVC wired to t-posts, and we lash 3/4" PVC to the spine (and leaning in toward it) as needed. Your 1/2" would be plenty strong. We just have excess 3/4", so that's what we use.

  • Good Idea... We used 1/2" conduit to stake our tomatoes this year... So far, so good!
