Nehemiah Curtis "Skip" James (June 21, 1902 -- October 3, 1969) American Delta blues singer, guitarist, pianist and songwriter.

"I'm So Glad": One of eighteeen sides recorded February 1931 at at Paramount's Grafton, Wisconsin, studio.

  • I believe he did....Cream made sure he got royalties/copyrights for the song.I think some of those $ paid for an operation he had during his last years.

  • Had no idea this was not an original Cream composition - have to say I like this better - but full marks to the band for donating royalties to the old man.

  • this a masterpiece of the 20th century

  • Right you are ... at a time when many rock bands stole songs, Cream made sure that "Skip James" was liste don the credits - and his widow wrote the band a thank-you letter after his death. (Ironically, after Cream had broken up).

  • If you want to watch the video then if you search for "Skip James Newport 1966" then you should be able to find it.
