Taxes where not the reason for the American Revolution. They made people mad, but the true reason is after hundreds of years of asserting little control on the colonies the British started to try to assert control and the independent Americans did not like it.

actually the name of the continent is America, or Americas, either or...and in fact the real name should be Columbia but since the Italian cartographer Americo Vespucci made the maps, the Spanish University of Salamanca said that the name of the New World should be name after him as AMERICA. BTW there was no gold in Virginia, the English made money after their crops of tobacco. Those settlers became very wealthy and the pilgrims landed in New England not in Virginia

Interesting, although Bob does keep referring to the English as "the Brits", even though when he says that, it shows an English flag and not a British one.
