Almost certainly. There was one machine which flew up and down the glacier taking in supplies and lifting people out. It was the most scary air journey I have ever had.

It's not really a slur on the English. I'm English, born in England, lived all my life in England, and I pronounce 'glacier' as it is spelled (glayseeur). Not 'glassier' like some English people who think they are "well spoken". This goes with thousands of other words, not everyone in England pronounce everything the same. We have many dialects too. I only have to travel less than 50 miles away from where I live and I would have difficulty understanding the locals there and vice versa.

I was in that machine 18 months earlier. Not surprised it crashed. It had great difficulty getting in the air fully loaded at 4100m.
