New topic, who would be your ideal artist or artist's to preform a James Bond theme, mine would either be Marc Almond or David McAlmont.
-
@sunshinebutmorerain What are you smoking and how do I avoid it? I like both songs, but Tina fits better in context of a Bond film...much like Shirley Basseys "Goldfinger".
-
M'eh . . . a lethargic song with a poor melody . . . I could see listening to it while stoned but not much else . . . certainly doesn't have the maturity of a Bond song.

Geez, not only can I think of the movie when I hear these lyrics, but I can kind of see a meaning behind the words: the youth will one day hold the power of the world in their hands, even though they (and the elderly) can't 'rise their voices yet'. Spectacular song; Ace of Base is amazing! :D

@miletjs I would say Jenny (but don't quote me)
-
@jackfrostbob It was originally meant to be GoldenEye, but the song got dropped, for Tina Turner, so they re jigged the title to The Juvenile and put it on their 2002 CD Da Capo.
-
@Pacisdiligo The "juvenile" lyric was created years later when they re-did the song. "Goldeneye" was the lyric used in the demo.
-
Clive Davis thought the movie would be a flop, which would lead to the end of Ace of Base's popularity. Davis has always made hit-and-miss decisions about Ace of Base.
-
Not bad, but I can see why they went with Tina. The "juvenile" lyric just doesn't go in any way with the film.

This song does feel and sound more like old Sean Connery, Roger Moore Bond songs

Wow! Why the hell did Arista pull Ace of Base from this project? That song fit the opening and the feel of the film perfectly!
