Gary Burbank was one of my all-time favorite radio personalities. I used to tape his show just to grab his best bits and share them with my friends. This is one of his most memorable bits ever. His character Gilbert Gnarley (http://goo.gl/qAivL) calls a local mall to report some lost coins.

  • The aforementioned and highly sought after cleverness of Gary Burbanks was SOOO popular, but yet so humiliating to the politician he'd called and 'punked' that he and the

radio station was asked NOT to play it after the second or so screaming run.

Again, hope somewhere the is an audible copy with captioning that comes forth.

(Louisville, KY is remembering the parting of Bill 'The Duke of Louisville' Bailey today)

  • OK...remember him well when in Louisville. Does ANY one have the one that made my boss laugh tears?? It was him on the phone having called a local politician...think he was pretending to be Jimmy Carter or some other politician of that era, and he had gotten either John Y. (Chicken John) Brown on the other end...or perhaps the mayor of Louisville then.

Someone please please know the ones I'm talking about.
