Led Zeppelin John Bonham Single Bass Pedal Triplets - Rafael Dolinski

John Bonham is one of the best rock drummers of all time and one of my favorites. I was addicted to Queen when I watched "The Song Remains The Same". One of the first things I noticed about Bonham was his right foot. I started practicing his single bass drum triplets and I'm showing here how I practiced.

The foot movement changes when I play faster, it slides a bit on the pedal, it is involuntary but it helps to play the fast triplets.

"Good times, bad times" featured some of his triplets and I also play here a bit of that groove from Led Zeppelin.

I learned that technique as well. Note that it works best with a belt drive pedal than a chain drive. I found that out the hard way.
