I explain my views on why people shouldn't hate E-Readers such as the excellent Amazon Kindle... and probably make them all hate me at the same time.

For the record, I did not commit any form of crime with my copy of Inheritance. I'm innocent! Honest!

  • I got one as a present. Constantly switching off from wi-fi. Finally came to download book says not registered in correct country. What fecking difference does that make! I'm in the uk & it was bought in the uk. Anyway went to the site to put on uk, then being forced to put full address and the bloody thing still says update country! So yes I feckinh hate kindle & if it was not a present off my wife would happily bounce it off the nearest wall!

  • @athleticscoach2012 That sounds bad... mine I just connected and it worked. Contact Amazon because it sounds faulty rather than a normal Kindle issue.

  • I own a kindle fire, and love it... BUT, and this is a big BUT, it needs the USB port so i can type on a real keyboard, as well as a camera. I bought Inheritance, but decided to start reading The Hunger Games first.

  • @HU4ever2191 We don't have the Kindle Fire here... just the plain boring black-and-white reading version :p Hunger Games is awesome! I think I prefer Inheritance marginally though.

  • DFTBA, also what are you studying?

  • @DGJamesP I do general computer-y things... a bit of web development, a bit of programming, a bit of systems analysis, a bit hardware etc all tied up into the one course :)

  • I have a kindle and I LOVE it. I read a lot more (and I've always read a lot). It's so convenient. I also read lots for free classics, and there are sites that tell you about all sorts of free books - though I've also bought books that I really want to read. The build in dictionary is also great for looking up new words you come across (or old words you never bothered to look up.)

Much better for reading than i-pad. E-ink is just so clear and sharp. Kindle is a must for any serious reader.

  • I also thought the same thing when I bought Inheritance!!

  • I have yet to try a Kindle, but I have odd reading habits, so I'm not sure it'd be useful.

  • @FruityTootyWooty I tried to pay attention to cutting properly in this one :p

  • @LessamazingKate See I understand those reasons, it's mostly the people who want Kindles to burn because they aren't 'real' books. That was the point of the video but I ended up hating on paper books :p
