Take a close look - the animations have been slowed down so it's easier to notice - when the window is showing up, there are a few frames of the animation missing near the end, the windows just pops up. When closing, a similar thing occurs - the window is rapidly made a bit smaller, and then continues the animation.

It's the same for beta and rc - as far as I'm aware, nothing changed in RTM.

These animations are very smooth in Vista.

  • how can I undo this??

  • @rawy500 you can't. Windows 8 fixes it ;p

  • is it really your graphics, or did you add a slow animation key to the registry?

  • @mickyd110011 - I used the slow animation registry key to show the problem as it's hard to capture on video otherwise.

  • is there any theme or setup where window burns or crashes at close or open? or anything else? this fade in - fade out is so ...common :)

    thanks cheers!

  • @aladar01234 - not that I know of. I guess you would have to use Window Blinds for that.

  • Yep, I have the same issue with the RTM and a 8800GT, it annoyed me so much that I just turned animations off.

  • I have the same problem on my Eee 1000h 2GB Ram and my Desktop (C2D 8200@3.2, 2GB, 9600gt OC).

Vista runs very smooth on both systems, even on my Eee...
