The Norm Lewis promo at 1:00 is very similar to ones that WOR-TV New York were running around the same time for their news, with the "as a child" profiles they would have for the various newscasters at the time.

All of those CBS shows from 1981 went into syndication.CBS was really good back in the day.I also noticed that Boss Hogg wears the same suit the John Travolta wore in Saturday Night Fever.But it looked better on John.
