By developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, Apple engineers were able to pack four times the number of pixels into the same 3.5-inch (diagonal) screen found on earlier iPhone models. The resulting pixel density of iPhone 4 — 326 pixels per inch — makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.

@MistikXy They exaggerate the effect to make it seem better than it really is. Don't get me wrong, I have one on preorder, but they're twisting their example a bit to be able to market it better.

Just noticed that when they show the close up text and zoom out (around the 0:20 mark), the letter on the left is truly zoomed out and you can see the faded pixels, but the letter on the right zooms out and the faded pixels disappear into a much sharper line.
