At the time of this video, the MTA was running R-38's on the E line. the E line was popular with the homeless people for 2 reasons: (1) - The E train stays underground and deos not expose them to bad weather and (2) - The R-38's still had it's heating system under most of the passenger seats, making them the warmest trains.......

Thank you for the view from the drivers view of the subways.

I miss the old subway cars because you could look out the front window. With the new cars you have a distorted views. Sucks big time. At least until the C line gets new cars I can still enjoy the view.

I AGREE, IT IS THE MOST EFFICIENT. BUSSES TOO

How can you say it is among the worlds most efficient if you have only seen subways in the usa and canada... Oow wait right, the usa is the world... right ? oow wait no, there are also major subways in paris, berlin, moscow, st petersburg... etc etc

Very nice video. I also liked your subway video about the Toronto subway between Union Station and Dundas.

The primary subway car model in this video. It's over 45 years old believe, and it's due for retirement soon.

Whatever makes you satisfy yourself.

Granted, people in Montreal are a little friendlier than the people of NYC.
They are definitely friendlier than the people of Toronto - even New Yorkers are friendlier than Toronto people.
NYC has the latest state of the art trains, equipment, etc. It is much, much bigger than Montreal's system. Montreal nor Toronto have the budget, they cannot compare to NYC's system.
So, let's stop the crap.
For all of you stupid fucks not in agreement, New York City's MTA system is among the world's most efficient.
I've seen NY's MTA, Toronto's TTC, and Montreal's SDM, and can tell you that NYC's MTA is by far the biggest and most efficient.
So, you can throw up all you want. You are fucking wrong.

I agree, the NYC subway is my favourite. Although I like Toronto's oldest subway rolling stock, it's not an impressive subway system by any means.

These subway cars don't have a full-width cab. This view is easily accessible to everyone.
