Leroy St after the Tornado in Fenton, Michigan

Thank goodness we've heard no reports of major injuries when the tornado struck in Fenton, MI on August 24, 2007. This is footage on the 25th on South Leroy Street showing the property damage near the City Hall, Police Station, Gazebo, Community Center, A.J. Phillips Fenton Museum and Dibbleville.

i was allmost killed by that thing tornadoes are no joke it was scary we were in the basment

Thank God you weren't hurt. The basement is the safest place to be during a tornado.  Don't ignore the sirens or warnings. Take proper shelter.

We were the car in front of the cherry picker. We drove right through the tornado. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I remember this day. I go on "vacation" once a year. So, I left town and 6 hours later my parents call and say fenton was hit by a tornado!

I remember that day, but that was a weak tornado. Not much different than a derecho event. Fenton lucked out and was spared. Watch the You Tube video "A Kansas Nightmare" and see how lucky you were.
