DRUMORE TOWNSHIP, PA -- On Saturday April 4th, The Rescue Local was transmitted to the area of Holtwood Road near Penny Road for the reported PIC with people trapped. The Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company with Quarryville's Rescue Squad 57 along with EMS were advised of a horse and buggy crash with multiple patients and the driver of the SUV trapped. Chief 58 arrived on scene reporting multiple patients laying on the roadway and requested add'l EMS units. Rescue Squad 57 arrived moments later and popped the drivers side door of the SUV to free the driver as EMS crews worked on the patients from the wrecked buggy. During the incident, EMS command requested two aero-medical units to fly direct but were later canceled by Medics who transported all patients by ground.

I wonder why they didn't humanely destroy the horse and get that over with. Poor thing.' It didn't ask to be put in that dangerous situation. Very sad for all involved.

this is for everyone that is asking about the horse i was on scene first peice out and we arrived on scene(engine 5-8-1 the yellow one) and i will confierm the horse did die.

i saw the horse move at 1:19 but not sure if it lived or not. Im hoping it did but being realistic it doesnt look good.
