What is your Question? Hello, i just came across your blog and noticed that you are stationed in HI and i have some questions about the base. I was wondering how you like it there, do you live on or off post. How do the locals treat you? How are the schools on post, and the housing on post? how long did it take you to get on post housing? Do you get COLA? Being that HI is tech a state of the US did the ARMY PCs your belongings? My husband is re-enlisting during his deployment and wants to stay with an inf unit he is a line medic he said he was going to put in for HI or Germany as one of his 3 options. Im fine with Germany I was born there my parents were stationed there, but i think our daughter is a little young to appreciate Germanys beauty. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering if you could tell me how long does the process is for a person already living at the barracks to bring his wife and kid? My daughter's daddy is there and he wants us there. But I have to get divorced from my ex first. So I'm hoping to be divorce by the beginning of next year. And I was wondering soon after we marry how much longer would it be till we're able to live on post with him... =)

OMG, if my hubby ever had to be stationed somewhere where I have to get on a plane, I would most certainly NOT go. Im terrified to death of planes :-S You're a very brave loving wifey! Kudos to you girl!

Trust me I dont like flying at all but I didnt want to be away from him for 3 years neither lol. I totally understand your fear of planes...the thought of having to fly across all that water again makes me sick to my stomach !

Hawaii is awesome!! Hiking, great food, mountain, ocean views, tranquil breezes, humpback whales...ugh. I've been stationed on an isolated (1 stoplight ) town KETCHIKAN ALASKA you have no idea what island fever is...TRUST ME! One road, 17 feet of rain,dark, no shopping,higher prices than Hawaii... I laugh at people who complaing about Hawaii..Hawaii is awesome! Swimming with sea turtles...watching whales, hike through tropical landscapes,killer food. You'd be dumb not to go!!
