What if sensors on the street knew exactly which parking spots were free? Your phone could direct you straight to a free space and the city could use that real-time information for dynamic meter pricing, discouraging driving when car traffic is too high. San Francisco is already trying the idea. If it works, it'll be good for motorists, for the city, and for the environment.

I really like the part when he says: You're on your "second" bottle of wine and you want to stick around for a little while........Uuhhh,,,,So you drive off after having had TWO bottles of wine and head out In the traffic drunk!!??? Hahahaha! That was a "good" example!

They say later in the video that people will choose to take public transit when parking is crowded...
despite saying early in the video that public transit was not very good.

Giving a commercial car driver a ticket for $75 dollars when all he/she made that was around that amount is unfair, it is not fair weather it's commercial or not, no one should pay to park in public. the mayor didn't pay for the streets nor did the city

San Francisco should just sell its parking meters to Abu Dhabi like Chicago did. Make a quick buck and let them jack up the rates. That's all you need to do to alleviate parking issues. Why encourage car use in any way?

I just copied my old post, here you go: Well, even so, after 2 bottles of wine you would have to stay In that restaurant for atleast 12 hours before you're ready to take off with your vehicle. Am I wrong? I mean, It's better to take a cab rather then the car If you're having plans on drinking alcohol. They should'nt have mentioned "second bottle of wine" In my opinion. They could've just skipped that part. Nice invention anyhow!
