Operation Khawakh Bade Sham : Lethal weapons and ammunition seized by Security Forces

Huge quantity of lethal weapons and ammunition seized by security forces during a successful raid near Pak-Afghan border has been presented before media. The seized arms and ammunition include missiles, rocket launchers, heavy and light machine guns, anti-air craft guns and rounds of different bore were shown to media persons here at Landi Kotal Fort. Briefing newsmen here at Landi Kotal Fort, the Commandant Khyber Rifles, Col. Masood Aslam said our gallant security forces had thwarted terrorists acts by seizing two trucks load with illicit heavy and light weaponry on Pak-Afghan border that were being smuggling to Peshawar. No arrest has been made so far. He said the anti-state elements are trying to create unrest in the society by making terror acts but their evil designs would be frustrated with support of people. He said that security forces are rendering great sacrifices for the sake of motherland. Assistant Political Agent Landi Kotal, Azam Khan said that Landi Kotal is peaceful and tribesmen are extending full support to government. He ruled out any possibility of operation in Landi Kotal.
