The Road THROUGH Ely. XD This is Cty. Rd. 88/Grant McMahon Blvd. (just west of Ely through just northeast of Ely). This is the shortcut, or the scenic route, without going through town. :) You'll see Shagawa Lake on the right throughout the video. In the winter, there is an ice road shortcut, too... maybe I'll have to capture it as well... :) Video shot on September 25, 2010. Fall colors were GORGEOUS. I wanted to put this to polka music (as we were listening to the Saturday Morning Polka Show with Mike on WELY) but couldn't find the songs I wanted. It'd probably help if I spoke Finn, German or 'Bohunk'. ^_^
