Well, I wanted to try to make another video, to demonstrate how far this new blower can throw the snow. But unfortunately once again, the wind was blowing the wrong way, so I could only blow it to the left, and if I blew it any farther, I would have buried the neighbour's car, which I don't think he would like.

Hopefully, next time there will be a lot more snow, and the wind will be blowing from the West, and I can get to it in the daytime, which would make for better video.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

  • I am still using a snow scoop to handle the snow in my driveway but I do like this snow thrower. It looks like the p1524e model, commercial grade with Briggs 10.5 hp OHV snow king motor with 24 inch wide cut. If you would post more videos or comments about your machine, it would be appreciated. I may be buying this snow thrower in the Fall.

  • I have two other videos that I had made before this one (all as a joke). Just do a search for them under my username Jobber1969.

    Thanks.

  • Great Vid. I have a 2007 Simplicity L8526 Blower, amazing machines. How wide of a cut and how much HP does your blower have?

  • It's the 1524 model, with a 24" cut. More than enough for my 2 car driveway, even if it is smaller than my previous 26" unit. But this being a smaller blower with the professional series engine, it's got power to spare. I have never been able to push it hard enough yet that it bogged down and I had to back off. It's got too much power, I love it! I keep picking a higher speed than I'm used to, because it just powers right through everything.

  • wow, you're a GOD of snowblowing... awesome video dude!

  • Thanks. I would love to try this on your 6 car driveway one day, have a competition whose is stronger, mine or yours. You have the wider unit, but I think I could probably keep up due to the extra power, so I would put it in a higher gear. That, and my serated tooth auger would chew through your ice dam at the end of your driveway.

  • Don't listen to the braggers that say mine throws farther then theirs. The job of the blower is to remove snow and if it does it so be it. Who cares how far it throws

  • goBUHuskies, in case you didn't read the other comments, below, the light is "blinking" because when you use the ELECTRIC CHUTE ROTATOR, it's drawing some of the power from the generator. Since there is no battery, when you use the motor to rotate the chute, that means there is less power available for the light. Do you not notice that when the light dims, the chute is also rotating? I think it's a terrific feature, I love it, keeps your hands on the controls, you just hit the thumb switch.

  • I notice on allot of Simplicity videos that the "light" tend to blink off and on alot. That right there would drive me crazy and I'd have to diagnose and fix that. Simplicity looks like a good machine and I might be inclined to buy one except I like Ariens better. Besids, the electric chute adjustment on the Simplicty models is just crying to break or malfunction. Still, a worthy contender!

  • Oh i see, well i seen some snow blowers with a small tractor battery but i didn't know this had one so that's why i thought you had like a short or loose wire.

  • @rocsvt1

No there's not. You may not be aware, that this blower has an electric chute rotation motor (like a power-window motor). Since there's no battery, only the little power generated by the engine while running, when you rotate the chute, it draws some power, so there's less available for the light (and the grip warmers). You'll notice that the light dims only when the chute is being rotated.

    Thanks.

  • something wrong with your light , lose wire maybe? anyways nice snowblower

  • pretty funny....you bought a huge snowblower for a 20' driveway...LOL Does it even get warmed up to operating temperature before you're done?

  • funnny....an eternally drunk guy singing while the best ever snow blower churns away...got a love it!

  • cool! nice video
