I've been working a really dull retail job over the holiday season. They play non-stop Christmas music, and it's all annoying and played out -- songs like "Jingle Bells" and "Santa Baby."

I heard this song in the satellite radio mix the other day, and I got really excited. It was sweet relief to hear James Brown lay down some funk after eight hours of listening to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You" and George Michael's "Last Christmas."

Haha, this song came on at work during Christmas time, and since the music was pretty much drowned out by working people and people talking, the squeak at 1:29 always caught me off guard and made me laugh.

This is one of my all-time favorite Christmas albums. I love the Christmas classics, but I gotta have my daily dose of soul and this hits the sweet spot : ) Merry Christmas to all you Rockers and Soulful people! I was just thinkin' James Brown passed on Christmas, two years ago, if I'm not mistaken. God bless you James Brown. You must be cuttin' a rug wherever you are.

I was in Subway getting a sandwich and this was on, I knew that I had never heard this song so I got excited and wanted to know what it was. All I remembered was the line: "..happiness I got plenty of.." and that James Brown sang it. I like this song now..it's new to me! :)
