Part 2 of 2. Classic Game Room HD turns on their new Magnavox Odyssey 2 video game console system... will is start up after 20+ years of not being used, or will it fizzle and explode into flames? The Magnavox Odyssey 2 was Maggie's entrance into the American video game market already dominated by Atari 2600 in 1978. In Europe it was known as the Philips Videopac G7000 and in Brazil it was called the Philips Odyssey. The original Magnavox Odyssey 1 was released in North America in 1970. CGRHD bought an O2 on ebay and this is the first time we unpacked the unit and turned it on. Will it work????? The tension builds as the joystick controller is untangled, the power cord plugged in and the world waits, with baited breath, for the power button to be pressed in sending a stream of current through the Magnavox Odyssey 2 sending us all on an odyssey of classic arcade video gaming!!!! Travelling through time and space has never been so much fun. This is old school retro antique collectible video gaming at its finest. Mess with the Odyssey 2 and prepare for a world of hurt, O2 game reviews are coming, as are review shorts of accessories like the controller. This is not a PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. This takes the 360 and pounds it into the dirt with its mighty array of plastic buttons.

  • Thanks for showing decency and just explaining it unlike the other people that thought ridiculing me was better than an explanation.

Like I said, either way, I enjoy these videos.

  • You actually had me talking to my computer. For three minutes I was saying to my screen, "I think you're supposed to press a number....press 1....no, press 1....come on press it...It's gotta be the number buttons....come on!!!!" LOL.

  • @jcrowley1985

Way, way too late to tell me that. I already threw it out sometime last year.

  • did he died?

  • @zolo1243

It uses the same adapter as the NES and Sega Genesis. So if you have either of those, you can swap with those consoles. From personal experience I'm using my genesis (model 1) adapter and it works fine, and nes one I think would work too.

  • it has a 8bit pu ithink

  • I had this console in the early 80s and i couldn´t remember either as i watched this.

  • I must admit that the complete and total confusion that the keyboard causes him is very funny and very entertaining, haha.
