Driving east on Interstate 155 from Caruthersville MO to Dyersburg TN looking south. Just past the bridge, the Bunge grain bins can be seen with sandbags protecting it. Flood stage is 32 feet. River is at 44.3 feet with crest forecasted to be 48 feet on 5-7-2011. Video really doesn't show how much water there is. Couldn't capture everything on the MO side because of the trees.

  • I seen that bridge 10 times in 28 days during that flood

  • It looks like a freaking ocean

  • A Letter to the previous flood victims and recent flood victims in America

Please read “ LETTER TO THE FLOOD VICTIMS” on YouTube

  • And yes, the susquehanna is as wide as the river in this video!

  • We had a flood [ susquehanna ] in 1972. I told my father the creek was coming over, & he said " it's o.k., in 1936 it only came up to the steps"....It went to 40 ft. & dragged homes blocks away from where they stood! It went to the second floor w/ a 3 ft. foundation & twelve ft. ceilings, drove a telephone pole through the front window. If a levee breaks, it usually breaks at a turn in the river, after a long straight, on the pressured side. NEVER trust it, move out just in case!
