@qulhaqan Do you not think that there is a clear distinction between 'holding rulers to account' and 'leading uprisings'? The first is I believe what the Sheikh is talking about, the second not so much.

Strange answer regarding the role of the scholars in these uprisings. There are many direct Hadith regarding the scholars responsibility to hold the rulers to account. They should be leading the uprisings against the tyrants. Instead we find them accepting awards and holding conferences with the very tyrants the ummah is overthrowing.
