  • Is that a Mallet KAT?

  • yes, it's a MalletKAT Express

  • didn't cover my favorite part

  • the parts on the back kit are really fun to play, but as of right now, we are not doing any songs that require the back kit, so I could not bring myself to hook up all those pads just for that little part of the solo; the couple of times I have done the solo with the back kit, I did it kinda more like Der Trommler, which includes the marimba section from "Momo's Dance Party"

as for the double-handed crossovers, I haven't done much practicing of those so I'm just not very good at them

  • excellent interpretation well I wonder where you got the item I am big band drummer and I would appreciate it if you touch it you can give me that information I am a great admirer of Neil Peart

  • if you are referring to the close-out part, it is the last minute or so of One OClock Jump from Burning for Buddy 2; when Neil did it, he had access to the original tracks and I suspect he dropped the drum tracks, made a sample of this and played along during the solo; I dont have access to the original tracks, so I just made a sample from the disc, with the drum tracks still present, and play along with thathope that helps
