I have played 7 and 8(including every other final fantasy) in my opinion they are they best FFs made. It will always be hard for me to choose which game I like better between the two. So I play them both all the time. The end.

FFVIII in my opinion is the best with the storyline, VII has the best combat, and XIII is the one with the best graphics(obviously since its on a next gen console).
But in terms of Final Fantasy fanism, those that played 7 first(my brother) don't like 8 as much as myself(played 8 first, then 7)

Yeah, the whole think is that FFVIII is deeper in meaning. And that you have to think about the sens of war, time and Ultimecia reason to be.
