LYRICS IN DESCRIPTION .A tribute to the Victims of the Japanese earthquake and Tsunami by the Grimsby band The Haycroft

Suddenly with no warning their world came crashing down
People trapped inside their homes and many more were drowned
by the torrents rushing down the streets of a small provincial Town

So peoples of the world unite for the well is running dry
and a million eyes will shed a tear for the orphans of Sendai

Poison in the water half amillion with no home
Parents without Children and children left alone
by the ruthless force of nature no man can overcome

So peoples of the World unite for the time is drawing nigh
when a billion hands wil join in prayer for the orphans of Sendai

A Village buried in the mud and a country on its knees
while people watch from miles away feeling ill at ease
Please help Japan if you can for they`re in dire need

Peoples of the world unite as time is passing by
Remember them remember them the victims of Sendai

    all the best

  • I'm very impressed with the Japanese flavor you gave to this, but even more with the sensitivity in the lyrics. I thought about writing a song about the disaster back when it happened, but I was worried I would trivialize it or misunderstand how Japanese people might feel. Their way of facing this as a nation still surprises and impresses me. Still--20,000 dead--that is a very hard thing. Well done, Paul.

  • @songblurred Thanks very much Don. We wrote this to mark the event so that it would not be forgotten in a hurry.

Obviously we wished that we didn`t have to.

    Kind Regards

    Paul

  • So nice of you to do this!

  • @nhickification It was such an awful tradgedy that we felt that we had to write something about this.

Thanks for your very nice comment Nhick
