Watch the Great Horned Owl and Barn Owl as they fly and hunt over the southern Arizona desert at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The raptors were videoed at high speed, 210 frames per second, so they are at true slow motion, not just video slowed down. It's amazing to watch their graceful flight and beauty of their feathers at this speed.

  • Possible to get any more info on your amazing training of these owls? Raised in captivity? Or injured and rehab'd? Pets? So beautiful and the music is great. I am a Molly Watcher addict. Thank you for this video. Would love more info.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment. This was filmed at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, AZ. During the cooler months (Oct-April) they have an outdoor Raptor Free Flight program. We get a lot of our footage from visits to the museum. I was told the birds trained for the program are rescues that couldn't be released for whatever reason.

  • Thanks for the wonderful footage, music, and description!

  • You are welcome!

  • Great shots! Nice to have those birds around to work with :-)

  • Thank you! They are amazing to watch, whether in high speed or real time.
