Course not. PlayOn just broadcasts a DLNA-compliant signal to DLNA Clients and they pick it up. It's almost like TV signal. Then when you go under videos/music/pictures you will see the icon show up for PlayOn. Works just like Media Player 11 on Windows. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are meant to be able to see DLNA Servers. are you wired to your PC from your PS3, or on a WIFI? if on wifi, hows the lag?

Currently I am WiFi.. It's not to bad.. I always recommend wired.. Wireless is really a web browsing protocol. You want Streaming you should do wired (if you want it to be dependable). There is lag.. Wired the folders pop right up. Wireless takes a second. Sometimes i get studdering on wireless during playback. Never on wired.

I never used this program, is it only to stream stuff from your PC?

or can you stream TV shows from the pc(HULU)

into the ps3?

Do you know how to watch the episodes of videos in the right sequences? i mean.. having the latest video at the bottom of the list and the old one at the top so that the episodes are played in the right order.. like episode 1, 2, 3... etc.. but right now it plays it backwards..like the latest episode first and the previous episode next.. you know what i mean?

Sony,for a system that does everything why can I even just get Hula without more apps, god I hope Sony gets sued big time. TY very much for the playon info and nice video, I hope it helps the PS3 do everything like Sony sales it as.

is there a way to get a free license key or is there a free DLNA software. I see PlayOn charges 39.99. I think it should be free some sort of DLNA

if you have problems getting Hulu to play throught (PlayOn ) this is fix PLayOn emailed me and told me to these steps ((((((Please uninstall "Adobe Flash Player ActiveX" through Add/Remove Programs

(if there), and then reinstall it through Internet Explorer (not Firefox)

and restart the PlayOn server.

Playon Works pretty flawlessly I have had it on my laptop it runs silently and takes no memory the wii is downstairs and the laptop goes wherever in the house and can stream through the web or right through the wifi signal. Its a must if you want an all in one program.
