  • I'm amazed at how calm they are. How often do you bathe them?

  • Once a week is my goal. Every five days would be even better, but it generally ends up being about every 7 to 10 days.

  • Some cats are better then others for getting a bath but generally if you start when they are kittens they will get use to it

  • Learn them to go under the shower its easy just put some balls or mouses under the shower or give them candy way easier really and get some shampoo that worked for all of mine ragdolls :)

Now there following me in the shower and want baths everyday hehe

  • @jjtiojohn12 Calico is a color not a breed, so there is no typical disposition.

Callie was my favorite cat. I could do anything with her- she would follow me around like a dog, take baths, ride in the car, & snuggle. She was a calico.

I had another calico that was just too wild for me to handle.

If you want a calico spend some time with it and pick one who likes to cuddle if that is the kind of cat you want.

  • im not sure what to make of it... the cats are lovely.... the owner and manic petting and grooming im not sure about.

  • im sorry, i dont own a cat, though i wish to.

but if ur cat is very kind, and gentle then i guess it wont hurt to try?

or just do trial and error.

  • it depends on the cat as well- I think what Calpico was trying to say was that Ragdolls are well-known for being friendlier than most other breeds of cats......... again, it depends on the cat though!

  • are calicos a problem?

  • they dont.

i think it depends on the breed.

like the one in the flick, they're ragdolls, they are very low maintenence, gentle, loyal and they love anyone, and is very friendly.

now if u had a different cat that was the opposite of those, then there would be a problem.

  • how cute! it is so sweet and calm :-)

  • I just got my persian from a cat breeder of 38 years. If she's been blow-drying her cats' hair with a standard hair dryer all this time then I don't see what the harm is.

You'd hope after 38 years you know what you're talking about - so I'm going to take her advice.

So I can say I "heard" it's not bad to blow dry your animal with a standard hair-dryer because someone with YEARS of experience is my credible source.
