The reliance of fish oils for omega 3 DHA and EPA is unsustainable. There aren't enough fish in the sea for our needs. Algae oil is the sustainable ethical alternative says London Nutritionist Yvonne Bishop-Weston www.foodsforlife.org
@gblueslover2 i plan on taking an algae suplement aswell. i've just discovered that flaxseed oil is unreliable for our health because very few of us can turn omega 3 from flaxseed into dha . i only mention flaxseed because i'm vegetarian. it all makes sense now why people say that fish oil is much better than flaxseed oil
@VCat2006 They have already done that in other places and DHA has been clinicly proven to help the heart, the eyes and the brain. Maybe this might be of interest to you also- This video also mentioned the fact that a plant based (Algae) form of DHA is in the works- It's already here and available.
FYI... I've been taking it for just over a month and have found it to be beneficial to my health. I just came on youtube to see if there was any info about it.
I hope they also included a placebo so we can be sure it's the DHA that causes the improvement. In order to prevent bias, the researchers should not know which group took what until results have been interpreted.
i started introducing fish oil epa/dha into my diet...hopefully i will see some good results soon !!!
