Europe needs to declare war on the US. That might reinvigorate our economt. War makes money, we've learnt that from the Yankee doodles. And if we joined forces and embarked on mass militerisation then we could really intimidate the US and perhaps destroy their capabilities. If they want nuclear war then Britain and France could wipe US off the map a few times over. Thus it would'nt come to that. It would be a conventional war that US would lose hehe hehe ;-)

@Tommyfungun yes im aware of that..i read war history..the UK lost 4 warships i believe..HMS Sheffield. HMS Ardent.

@RJF1966 The T45 was design and capabilities were inspired by the Falklands war......it needs to specialise in Anti air combat due to the last Falklands war when the Royal Navy lost three ships to the Argentine Airforce..

@MrXray2011 define better? The USN is a carrier navy...most assets are subordinate to the carrier. The Burke has to kill submarines,give anti air-anti missle and amphibious assault. Can the Type 45 do all those things well? no...the Burke can do all of them well.. is the Type 45 a better anti air ship? yes...can the Type 45 or Burke shoot down ICBMs no the Ticonderoga class can and its old and not stealthy. thats my whole point

@RJF1966 Actually the Type 45 is better than the Burke class, it is more stealthy, can destroy more targets at farther ranges and quicker... but... the US aer building the Zumwalt Class which will be better than the Type 45 (at some roles) so yes one can compare them... Type 45= better due to its modern design.

@35parkerm comparing the Daring to a Burke Class or provincien class warship is like comparing apples to oranges...the west shares most of its tech...so they are designed for missions...IMO non is really better than the other since much of it is chared tech...the Provencien uses the SM2 missles while the Type uses french missles and american CWIS systems...so anyone who boasts whos is better is just ignorant period ..compare russian chinese or western warships then the debat is open

You guys are all just petty, they'll have good and bad points, the thing is that the Uk and US are allies, what one may lack they other can fill, on both sides... And I live about 15 minutes away from the shipyard where the T45's were built and all I can say as it looks great, it does it's job and it keeps a lot of my friends and family in a great job that they all enjoy doing... It's a video of a launch folk, the point is to look ahead, not to look back and squabble over petty differences...
