So, a guitar tuned an octave DOWN, would make it a BASS GUITAR RIGHT?. Fucking puerile retards arguing semantics......
-
@ljoekelsoey4 Holy shit, both of you are fucking disgusting. Whichever of you began this inane argument deserves a painful death. Also, this music is really groovy.

well played my friend, if you do re read the deffinition, it does state a guitar is from 6 - 12 strings, therefor a 7-string guitar is very much so a guitar by that deffinition. without going too deeply into the ether that is defining classical instruments, a bass is a bass, a guitar is a guitar, a bass guitar is a form of guitar therefore a guitar to some degree. finishing this, the player in lightning bolt plays a bass guitar. I was wrong for calling you a retard, you are obviously intelligent

@23Butandione from the oxford concise dictionary; Bass - lowest part in harmonised music; low pitched member of a group of musical instruments (colloq.) ill grant you its commonly thought of as simply a 'bass', but that is not what it is properly called. the prefix 'bass' when used before the name of an instrument indicates it is tuned to the bass register
-
@23Butandione that definiton matches a 'bass' perfectly. the only difference being it has 4 strings. by that token, is a 7 string-guitar not still a guitar? so the only difference is the register, being in the bass register, its a bass guitar. compare this to the common 2 string instruments in classical music violins and cellos. a cello's full name is violincello - its a bass-register version of the violin.
too mainstream
