Girlfriend Speed Painting (shown by frames)

I make my paintings with a little application for the Nintendo DS called 'Colors!', I begin my paintings on the DS, and I give them some final modifications with photoshop.

Obviously I'm very limited, because the maximun resolution I can use on the DS for my paintings is 512 x 384 px, so I can't zoom in too much for making little details. I'd like to buy a graphic tablet someday, because is not easy to paint on the little screen of the Nintendo DS, and I'm sure that my paintings would be much better if I made them on a digital tablet with the computer, but well, by now that's what I have, and I will do all I can with it.

All my paintings are started from zero, no tracing is done, no textures are added, everything you see is painted from an initial white screen.

I can't record myself doing the painting on the DS and in Photoshop, so I decided to join almost all the pictures I have from the process, and compose them with a slide effect

This time I painted a photo of my girlfrind, trying to do it the more realistic I could. At the end I got lazy on the hair and background, but well, I'm pretty happy with the result.

Hago mis dibujos con una pequeña applicacion para Nintendo DS llamada 'Colors!', comienzo mis dibujos en la DS, y les doy algunas modificaciones finales con Photoshop.

Obviamente estoy muy limitado, ya que la resolucion maxima que puedo usar en la DS para mis dibujos es de 512x384 pixels, asi que no puedo hacer demasiado zoom para pintar detalles pequeños. Me gustaria comprar una tableta grafica algun dia, porque no es nada facil pintar en la pequeña pantalla de la consola, y estoy seguro que mis dibujos serian mucho mejores si los hiciera con tableta grafica en un ordenador, pero bueno, por ahora esto es lo que tengo, y hare todo lo que pueda con ello.

Todos mis dibujos estan empezados desde cero, no hay calcos ni trazos previos, tampoco se añaden texturas, todo lo que veis ha sido dibujado partiendo de una pantalla inicial en blanco.

No puedo grabarme a mi mismo dibujando en la DS y en Photoshop, asi que he decidido unir casi todas las imagenes que tengo del proceso, y componerlas a forma de diapositivas.

Esta vez he pintado una fotografia de mi novia, intentando hacerlo lo mas realista posible. Al final me volvi perezoso con el pelo y el fondo, pero bueno, estoy bastante contento con el resultado.

thats nice so why u dont buy an graphic tablet they dont have to cost soooo much

i got a Aiptek 14000 u and its pretty good for a price round about 150$

Thanks for your comment. I know there are graphic tables like that one, and they're not very expensive, but I don't like that kind of tablets, I'd like to save money and buy a tablet where you can see the screen on it.

Write on youtube 'google doodles' and you'll se what I'm talking about.

I have a Wacom tablet (or graphic tablet, or how it says) my fathers bought it just 3 days ago, and it doesn't have a screen to see wath you draw or something like that. But it cost me just U$70 and it looks good =D hope you can have one someday. The draw is just good, keep doing it!
