  • @mujahir1: also the # of characters are limited to what I have to say and im sure that is also the case on you side.

  • @mujahir1. its brother, anyway the culture of the time had a custom of growing a beard. And thus the Prophet did it. And yes there is an ayat is the Quran which states that "What Allah and his Messenger have decided, do not put you own opinion in it"(Paraphrased). My brother lets bring this to hotmai or something. Because our petty disagreements will give the non muslims a sense of confusion. I am willing to give you my hotmail if you agree.

  • @mujahir1 didnt you read the hadiths on the site, they are all authentic hadits from the prophet Muhammad (saw)

there are hadiths too which say whatever Muhammad (saw) says, is as if Allah Himself would have said it.

which means that whatever Muhammad (saw) commanded us to do is Fard.

you are completly right that the scholars isnt the ones that say what is fard or not, i never said that, im talking about what Muhammad (saw) said.

    -Salam

  • @JoakimAcosta: If it is not a sin then it is not farz. That is all im saying. When muslim do not do farz then it is a sin. So our scholars cannot say that something is farz without the commandment of ALLAH. Doesnot matter if its islamqa.com or askimam.org or any other website. We should respect our scholars with the utmost respect. But we cannot listen to them when they make thing halal and haram on their own. Thats all im saying.

  • @JoakimAcosta sorry, i think i answered wrong msg :P

im sorry bro, let me see if i understand u correctly, you are saying the beard and trimmed mustache was for that time? and not nessecery anymore? :S

antways, just check out the last msg a sent you, and visit that site :)

  • @mujahir1 Salam again :)

so if the Prophet (saw) comanded us to do something, and Allah didnt (in the Quran) we shouldnt do it?

Allah says if we want to earn hes love, we must love / follow the way of Muhammad (saw).

It isnt a sin to not have a beard, one who cannot grow a beard, its not a sin on him, but it is a sin to shave down to the skin.

Please check out Islamqa.com and simply search Beard, there are plenty of Fatwas there, choose the 1st that shows up

    -Salam from Norway :)

  • @piper696969: ahaha, I think that beard look very nice on him.

  • sorry last message got cut. But all im trying to say is that farz is something that is mandatory, and is important to have a beard for muslim to show a distinction between the muslim and the non muslim. But in no way is it farz. ALLAH did not make it farz. So it is not a sin to not have a beard. But rather it is recommended.

  • @JoakimAcosta: My dear brother, Farz is something that ALLAH has commanded us to do. Something the humans cannot reject. And ALLAH has put all of our obligation in the Quran. And through his final Prophet, Muhammad(s.a.w). And the Prophet said, trim you mustache. but that was only to show a distinction between the muslim and the non-muslims of the time. I keep a bread because I think it is sunnah. But look at the culture of the time, all males were expected to have beards, and Islam is not a

  • @mujahir1 Wa Aleikum Salam Brother or Sister :)

Music, you are right that it is not been established as Haram, but it is highly discouraged

Fatwa for Music: islamqa (dot) com/en/ref/5000/music

But the Beard, i am very sure it is fard :)

Fatwa for Beard: islamqa (dot) com/en/ref/75525/beard

and for the 1 fist lengt of the beard, after some digging, it seems i was wrong, it was only one fo the scholars who said that, majority have agreed that we should simply let it grow.

    -Brother from Norway :)
