Day 101 of our 100-Day Raw Food & Fitness Journey!

It is the day after our Raw Journey goal date, what did we eat?

Well, Kirsten was craving tofu and I was craving roasted pistachios. So, we ate them. What a let down. Neither of experienced the joy and pleasure we expected. The cooked food just wasn't that good. Our taste preferences changed. Since we haven't assaulted our taste buds with any cooked food for the last 100 days we have a deep appreciation for how delicious whole, raw food is. I guess we will keep eating this way(with a few minor exceptions here and there).

We each lost about 10 pound of fat eating this way. That was without trying. We didn't count calories. We just ate fruits and veggies until we were full.

We both feel healthier and more vibrant.

We are thankful we took a raw food journey.

If you are thinking of taking any sort of health journey, we say, go for it! You will be glad you did.

  • At any time did you have a hard time or crave any cooked meals. i noticed that you were wearing hats. i find it difficult eating this way in cold weather. After 46 days on this journey(which I plan to do for the long haul) I had a home made vegetable soup(no added anything, just vegies and distilled water) it was so awful and I can't believe how much i did not want it. The other night i had wine, awful again and made me sick. Anther time, i ate cooked chestnuts, but those were really great.

  • I think we had some cooked food cravings in the beginning before we figured out how much fruit we needed to eat on a daily basis. Once we were eating enough calories the cravings went away.

  • Great video! I've been RV for 3.5 months and it has transformed my life. Agreed about the cravings. I did the Master Cleanse before I started on plant based and never had cravings even though I was hooked on cheese before. You're right about environmental pollution. Also, preservatives are designed to keep food shelf stable for months and therefore require your digestive system to work overtime to break them down also. Some are toxic and have been shown to lead to cancer. Raw is the way to go!

  • Fantastic video, thank you for sharing. My husband and I are going to be cleansing, no date specified...just until we feel like it is time to come off. Then back to raw vegan...I believe this time we will forgo all of the raw gourmet vegan dishes and just go for the mono foods - fruits, veggies, raw nuts, etc... Your video is very inspiring and we are excited to see other couples who are doing this together!

  • No meat going so well, other day with some friends in Mcdonald, all eating burgers and I just had a water their and used their bathroom, and friends were shcoked,
