An uptight Christo-fascist girl and her father in a small town near Conroe, Texas try to get her high school to ban the sci-fi classic "Fahrenheit 451" for containing "offensive material".

@AetheismRules I really don't get what his complaint about the firemen is because the firemen in Fahrenheit 451 are not our firemen. These are not the men who put out fires and help old ladies, these firemen set books on fire in a world where reading is outlawed. The two are not the same at all and we hope they never are.

This is terrifying. Farenheit 451 was written for the express purpose of preventing this exact situation: people denying education in favor of their own misconceptions, their happiness. Ignoring the truth in favor of a pleasant lie. I fear for our future if this is the state of those who control it.
