Magnetic field of a magnet can reach relatively shorter distances; But an oscillating magnetic field can reach far distances. As the frequency increases, they travel straighter and straighter.

  • Hello Joseph!! Congratulations from Spain for your videos. There show difficult physical concepts from a very clear view. Only one question, why say you that "electric current creates magnetic field and oscillating electric current creates oscillating magnetic field and NOT "electromagnetic wave"? I'm studying engineering and I study that a oscillating electric current creates oscillating magnetic field and oscillating electric field perpendicular each other, this is just like that?. Thanks!!
